This Chardonnay is grown in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte, this cooler site lends itself to a "slower Maturation" of the grapes. This means that the grapes retain more acidity and creates the "fresher" style that this is. This wine has 15% of it fermented and aged in oak barrels, which add the subtle warmth and richness to the wine.
