The climate of the Colchagua Valley is hot, but is cooled by southern winds and morning fog. This means that the grapes can properly ripen whilst the cooling effects mean the wine can retain a high acidity level, which keeps a wine balanced and stops the wine being too candied. 20% of the wine was aged in oak and then blended for a more complex taste.
