Costieres de Nimes, the easternmost appellation of the Languedoc, is effectively part of the Rhone since the climate, soil and topography are so similar. The relatively uniform soils are marked by large pebbles on gentle, typically south-facing slopes. This is a combination of 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier. The Viognier is barely noticeable but gives an elegant aromatic lift to the wine that we love.
